Anita Arliss is an artist from NYC who lives and works in Atlanta.
Mixed media artist Anita Arliss captures haunting images from a perspective in motion with a cell phone camera. Digitally manipulated, printed on canvas then painted, they create an evocative dimensionality to an environment we take for granted.
Arliss has an MA in painting and sculpture from Hunter College where she studied with Robert Barry and Robert Morris. Her digital paintings have been exhibited and collected in the US and Europe. A New Americans Paintings 2004 Competition winner, she just completed a large-scale mosaic for the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airport.
